Glucose tolerance test

So i have my test next week (friday 9am) im.so pissed off about having to take this as i can hardly go 1hour without eating and now i have to fast for this test... Its just ridiculous like i mean it cant be good for baby or me... Anyone else have to take this test and feel the same way?? And plus can anyone give me more info on why its done and what for please!! Im a ftm and its all new to me :)

Fast means not to eat...call your dr and ask for directions.  I think it is required in US for all preg woman to take this test...I took it with my first child

I just hate needles n i think im freaking about that more so...Im from Ireland and i got sweet f.a info from my doctor about this test...

I have my test Monday. I didn't know I was supposed to fast.  What do you mean by fast? What do I have to do to prepare??  Sorry for all the questions.

Its done to see if you've developed gestational diabetes. I Dont know where you are but here in England it is only done if your at a higher risk of developing it.

I had to take this test but my fast was only 12 hours which I started three hours before goin to ma bed and my test was early tht morning so it worked out okay for me and I turned out fine
