anyone else have a placenta preevie?

Not sure how preevie is spelled sorry. Just had my second ultrasound last week and saw my midwife she said I have a placenta preevie where my baby is sitting in the wrong spot, and if she doesn't move to the side or up I'll have to have a c section. And then she told me all the stuff I can't do.it seems pretty extreme... Just nervous! Anyone else have this problem? I'm a first time mom. Wanted to do things naturally. I have a 3rd ultrasound booked in 8 weeks.

I had placenta previa at my second scan which was20 weeks, and they told me soo much i cried and paniced. Turns out its quite common. I had a scan at 32 weeks and it had moved! I had a perfect delivery, vaginal, water birth with gas and air. I was put on bedrest for a week and pelvic rest (no sex) for 12 weeks (torture) lol. But it was cause i had a fair bit of bleeding with mine. Hoping yours moves. Im scared as im now pregnant again and they say once youve had it once your likely to get it again -.-

I hope so! I just don't want to have to have an ugly scar and recovery time because I only get 6 months off work with her. I'm 21 weeks along now. My midwife just listed restrictions Ihave now and just really freaked me out. Like even with getting out of bed, I have to turn to the side, and get up slowly. Have limited intercourse, and make sure I don't bend over and get up too fast which is impossible with the job I work and she said no long car rides. And to keep a copy of my ultrasound with me incase of bleeding and having go to emerg. Stressful!

I had placenta previa at 16 weeks and my dr told me its pretty common early on and most of the time it fixes itself. By 18 weeks the placenta moved and everything was fine. If you do need a csection dont worry because it is safer for you and baby to do it that way. Good luck, you will probably be just fine!
