cold water

I like going to the lake with my family but the water is freezing cold. Makes my entire body numb feeling is that bad for the baby? I know I'm not suppose to be in hot tubs but what about cold lakes?

My doctor just told me that there is an increased risk of infection but I always see pregnant women at lakes swimming so you should be fine. That's all I swim in is lakes and I've been ok .

Is it bad to swim in deep parts too? I get pretty tired and sink more then before unless I have a floaty to hold me up

My doctor said to just ease into it bc you don't want to shock the baby's system
