thrush (possibly tmi)

The antibiotics I've been put on for my kidney infection have given me a gross case of thrush. I'm so sore and itchy and uncomfortable. I've bought some bio live yogurt to try and sooth it but does anyone have any other suggestions for how to clear it up or just make it feel a bit more bearable? I don't have a midwife appt til next week and would rather not have to go to the doctor if I can treat it without more meds.

Thanks :)

Start taking probiotics and ask your doctor or local pharmacist what otc medications are safe for yeast infections during pregnancy. Thrush is a yeast infection located outside of the genital area. And dont worry about it, not tmi at all. It is very common for there to be an overgrowth of yeast after taking antibiotics. Hope you start feeling better soon.
