bedrest

Has anyone been put on bed rest? If so  how far along were you? And if you dont mind answering why?
Im 27wks today and last week she started kicking really low. Very much in my pelvic region.  Talked to my dr on the phone she said since theres no leaking or bleeding and she is moving all is ok. For now.  She just repositioned herself really low because ive been on my feet too much. I was asked how often I work (bartending ~22 hrs over 3 days every other day) but this all happened after I got called in for an extra shift. so I was instructed until my next appt, no extra shifts, only on my feet at work, and to sit when at all possible while at work and hope she moves back up. But my next appt they are going to check me for dilation and her position and possibly put me on bed rest. It worries me, I know my job is fine until I get back but my mum went on bed rest with me when she was about this far along. I dont know what exactly what bedrest entails except the obvious. And I dont have anything yet let alone set up. Im due mid march and havent gotten anything yet because my family is buying us stuff for christmas/my b-day/ baby shower. I have my hubby and he just want the baby to be healthy but I feel like hes already doing so much.

Thank you ladies. It just worries me. My husband wont let me do much of anything other than sit. I convinced him to let me cook under the circumstances that I have a chair in the kitchen. And sit while I cook. I know its all for the health of the baby. But if I get put on bedrest 3 months is a long time to not do much... =(

My sister was put on strict bedrest at about 21 22 weeks.  Only allowed to shower once a day and pee. No making herself food or anything. She was dialated at a 3.  My sister is a very busy person and had troubles following this. At 24 weeks they hospitalized her for 3 months for fear of preterm labour due to a weak and shortened cervix. She had to have steriod injections to make sure babys lungs would be developed and daily ultrasounds.  It was rough for her and me since she lives across the country but everyting worked out perfectly and my neice was born at 36 weeks  not too long after she was allowed to leave the hospital!

hii I was put on bed rest at 29 weeks I'm 30 weeks today & I was put on because I have an irregular heart beat & shortness of breathe. I'm on bed rest until Christmas & then after that appointment I have to do a stress test to see if I have to be on bed rest until I give birth. its very boring I online shop a lot & watch a lot of Christmas movies with my pitbull while she lays on my tummy until my boyfriend comes home.

Just started bed rest at 34 weeks. I had some major swelling in my feet and ankles. Bad enough to where it was painful to put pressure on them to walk. My blood pressure is also elevated and has been for some time. Increasingly worse over the last few weeks. I can basically sit around the house and watch movies and anything that doesn't require much effort. Occasionally I'll do a house chore but rest immediately after to try and combat swelling.
