concern about my fibroid tumor and my pregnancy

i am 19 weeks pregnant.  I was told that I have a fibroid tumor.  The doctor says no problem, everything will be fine like i was concerned about a cold or something.  Online is scary with what i read.  Should i seek another doctor?  Or is mine telling the truth and the stories online the extreme?  I am concerned about it growing too large, and the fact that it can cause premature labor.  How premature are they talking?

That is where my concern comes in.  My ob didn't measure it, they didn't tell me where it was located at.  Didn't even say he would keep an eye on it.  He just laughed and said it was nothing.  That is why I was wondering if I needed to change ob's or if that reaction to them was normal.  All I know is when I had my ultrasound at 8 weeks, there were no tumor(s) shown.  The tech said that she did not detect anything other than the baby.  When I went in for an ultrasound at 17 weeks, that is when the tech stated that I had a tumor.  And that was it.  Then the doctor laughed and told me to come back in a month.  Before I do something so extreme as to change ob's so far into the pregnancy, I wanted to make sure that I wasn't overreacting.

I personally think you'll be fine i worked L&D for a while and saw many women with more than one large fibroid tumor deliver healthy babies at 40 weeks plus.
