how do doctors decide on if they are going to keep when your like 3-4 cm dilated? do they automatically induce you if your that far but not having contractions? or do they just let you wait it out til you start having contractions with inducing?

I was 3 to 4 centi with my last baby doc sent me to the hosptial to be induced but then again my son was 10lbs at 38weeks so doc was going to inducced anyways

I think even if your 3-4 centimeters and not progressing they'll wait it out and hope you start to. And at 42 week mark induce.

At a hospital? They kept me at 4 1/2 cm and my contractions were 2 min apart
