Also, as Destynee2015 mentioned, prune juice at room temperature usually helps a lot with constipation as well.

Don't drink too much though. There is an average of how much water people "should" drink (which is 8, 8 ounce glasses of water per day) -- but for many people, like myself, this is too much water to COMFORTABLY consume. -- So, unless you're dehydrated, listen to your body.

When thirsty, refrain from grabbing sodas, juices, etc. Grab water. Drink water before and after exercise. Drink a few sips before bed and a glass with breakfast when you wake up.

Drink lots of water. Eat regular, balanced diets. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and get enough hours of good sleep every night.

Medication usually should not be taken for constipation unless the constipation is caused by a serious medical condition. Avoid medications for constipation at all costs unless they're necessary to treat a serious medical condition.

Constipation is normal during pregnancy because the hormones released during pregnancy soothe & relax your body -- including the digestive tract. This means that food digests and processes through your body a lot slower than it did before you got pregnant, and generally causes constipation. It isn't necessarily bad for the baby.

To help with constipation, you can eat lots of high-fiber foods such as beans, fruits and vegetables, whole-grain breads, etc. every day. Also, be sure to drink lots of water.

If you AREN'T anemic and your prenatal vitamins consist of lots of iron, consider asking your doctor to switch you to prenatal vitamins with lower levels of iron in them. Iron can cause constipation if taken more than necessary for your body.

Note: If you have severe abdominal pain, blood or mucus coming out of the rectum/anus, or diarrhea (it's possible to pass fluid-like stool and still be constipated) call your doctor or midwife IMMEDIATELY because this could be a serious problem that could actually be harmful to your baby. Situations like this don't usually occur, but it's possible to have serious complications.

Enjoy your pregnancy! :)

I would take like natural foods to help you. Like drink lots of juice. Just be careful not to push to hard to try and push something out or you will get painful hemroids and idk if you have experienced that yet but it's so painful
