contractions or not?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now  and since last night I have been having pains in my abdomen that go away and come back every 10-15 minutes (it gets tight when it comes) & I feel it to my back. It hurts when I stand,walk... etc. and when I don't feel the tightness I still hurt like I'm sore until out comes back couple hrs later. what can it be?

If the pain or contractions feelings continue throughout the night go to the e.r I've read of woman that go into labor that early & they can stop it or something like that. Just don't brush it off cause its better to be safe than sorry, I hope it's nothing but goodluck hun, keep us posted!

thanks everyone. Ihaven't felt tightening since I last commented on here, butI do still have constant pain on abdomen and back. idk if I'm sore from the contraction/tightening of abdomen or what. I'm trying to hack the pain much as possible. what should I do

I agree with serpantdedieu... if they are 10 to 15 min apart regularly that is definitely contractions. Braxton hicks is irregular and goes away when you change position (like laying down if standing and vise versa) or changing activity even.

That sounds more like a contraction than a braxton hick I'd call your doctor

Is it a mucas greenish discharge? Pinkish? Or white?

Some discharge is normal but it isn't very much.. for me its only maybe a quarter size amount and whitish/clear which is normal.

I'd go in to the e.r. just to be safe.

Sounds like Braxton hicks. I'd call your office in the morning and talk to your doc/midwife about it but it should be fine.
