I would first contact your doctor and make sure that it is a yeast infection and not something else. I got a yeast infection during my 2nd trimester and was told that monistat 3 was safe to take. But again check with your doctor before you do anything.
You might want to call your ob and have an appointment with them...usually if you go to the ER they tell you to follow up with your ob or gen. practitioner within 24-48hrs.
yes sounds good, take it!!! better to take it and treat it than to let it go
I went to the ER for "amniotic fluid leakage" (I wasn't leaking fluid, they were just checking) but the M.D in the ER gave me a cream that you insert in, and it's a cream, I read the label for it and it said that in 2% of pregnancies it causes complications during the second trimester and even that little amount scares me - but I called the pharmacist that perscribed it to me and he said it doesn't go into your blood stream like taking a pill does, and that he was comfortable with me taking it - so would that be okay? I told my doctor about it and he said if I thought I had an infection to take it.
I think you should talk to your doctor, because it could be a different infection that needs prescribed meds, that are safe to take during pregnancy.
Ask your Pharmacist most medication for yeast infection in pregnancy is save - Canesten -tablets or cream works well
