I lived on white rice with lots of butter.. and salads... ohh and mcdonalds fries... they were the only things i could keep down... also tuna salad sandwiches... ohhh and i craved ice chips .. very strange.. and i craved the smell of dryer sheets .. omg i used to get up in the middle of the night to go smell the dryer sheets.. pregnancy makes your hormones go haywire..
Like you I just want to eat everything. Today, though, I've started getting full and fast!
My cravings- jalepenos, cesaer salad (with the homemade dressing my MIL makes without anchovie paste), mashed potatoes and gravy, CHINESE, sushi (cooked). Pretzels are a good snack for me, especially when I have heartburn/indigestion.
For lunch I had leftover spaghetti and it was gross. Tonight we had pizza and it was gross to me. Blech. But I still ate it. I'm not nauseated or puking... yet. Let's hope I don't!
well... i have a new problem that all your ideas will help with. All i want to do is EAT. Still some aversions, but omg am i HUNGRY. Poor DH made me a huge baked ziti yesterday, but i can't eat it because he put too much meat and spinach into it. Poor guy tries so hard but can't seem to get it right.
Craving of the day... red lobster!!!! i LOVE their bisquits and salad, and of course the food. It's such a strong craving, I don't know if i'd be able to eat anything else. I'm worried about it being too crowded though, since it's a Friday in Lent. Maybe we'll do take out...
When I was pregnant, I was all about chow mein (or lo mein, depending on the restaurant) the soft noodles lol. And I loved PB&J...and a side of pickles! Mostly salty stuff though!
All I've been craving has been very spicy and salty food from the begining. I haven't had heartburn any time at all. Even before I found out I was pregnant I've been drowning my food with hot sauce. My husband laughs at me because I never used to eat anything spicy. That's all I want now!
Hmm sooo Tonight, I think I'm making Spaguetti with ground turkey meat sauce :) YUM! Tons of parmesan cheese on it too :)
Cheese is a dairy product an is good for the baby. Thats why you can get cheese with wic. Its high in calcium. Anita
I don't think I can help either. It frustrates DH because I'll say I want something (because it sounds good) and then I take 2 bites because it's not what I want and DH ends up eating it. But, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches are my back ups! And cereal!
Lasagna, mmmmmmmmm.......stuffed shells, cheese burgers lol. Try eatin fettuccini alfredo thats pretty mild, or a cheese omlet. If you wanna get away from so much cheese I found that oatmeal was gentle on the tummy along with pancakes, waffles and toast.
well tonight the dh is making turkey sausage with white rice and teriyaki sauce. sooooooo good. last night i made chili and cornbread muffins.
when i was pregnant chicken. all i wanted was chicken and groundbeef. i HATED HATED HATED groundbeef pre pregnancy. i ate so many big macs....i'd eat 2-3 at a time. lol.
I think when the stomach is churning, eating starchy carbs seems to go down well (potatos, pasta, bread). Also, salty items, so maybe chicken soup or any other clear soup, with some crackers crushed up in the soup.....
at least you can eat something. it will pass, and just keep trying differnt things
omg...i don't even want to get started on food aversion!!!!! every time i think about eating anything i get all queezy and have to get my mind on something else or i'll be running to the bathroom!!!!! the only thing i have been able to eat without getting sick for the last 4 days is a salad or bananas/oranges (i used to hate oranges)!!!!!!!
the average is 25-35, but that can vary quite a bit either way........My 1st baby I gained 25 lbs and with my 2nd I gained 35. With my 3rd I started off over weight and only gained 15 lbs...........This time around I have already put on 15 and i am only 14.3 weeks!!! Talk to your doctor about your weight or the foods you like that are high in fat, I would think chesse, no matter how fating it is would be fine.
*Tabitha*
I am craving watermelon right now:) yum!!
hey isnt too much cheese bad for the body fat. My Dr is alredi on me for high weight?
Normally how much excess weight does one put on during pregnancy?
Ooh, I forgot about all the comfort food I craved at the beginning of my pregnancy. Things like mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, chicken pot pies, etc. Yummy!
I loveee rice and ribs done in garlic sauce pressure cooked on the stove....yummmm thats my fav..that and homemade spagetthie!! sorry for the spelling!! lol
when i was feeling sick there were 2 things that help...grilled cheese and tomato soup, and the other was baked or mashed potatoes
cereal and chicken wings is what I lived on for the first few months. They had to be chicken wings from this chinese place down the street and they would keep them in the fryer a little longer to make them nice and crispy for me...yummy!
tired- w/ my last 2 pregnancies i couldn't get enough chicken wings!!! but not that buffalo cr@p... i loved the honey mustard or hawaiian wings... yummmmmy!!!!! could you handle some of those??? :)
grilled cheese is my standby- anytime i can't eat anything else, i eat that :)
Mmmmm....grilled cheese sounds good to me! Good suggestion Anita!
Wish I could help but I think we are in the same boat lol
When I feel like that I always eat grilled cheese sandwich, tuna salad sandwich, rotel/velveta dip with chips, or we have biscuts an gravy. I was very picky at the beginning of my pregnancy. I have always like bread and cheese though. Anita
Hmm, I'm not sure I can help too much since you have all the food aversions. I have been craving tacos and other mexican food. I made the best chicken tacos the other night. I sometimes have issues with food, but I seem to always be able to eat a bowl of cereal. And I LOVE fresh fruit right now. Apples, strawberries, oranges and sometimes even a banana. Tomatoes are always good too. Oh, and I love spaghetti and other pastas.
