Am I losing this pregnancy? is it Ectopic?

A short medical history about me:
I am 27 years old, I have one son who is 2 years old born at 41 weeks with a c-section, I was pregnant a second time and lost my baby (had a sever birth defect that doctors said was not compatible with life) and had to get a D&C this April.

I am now pregnant again for a third time and completely freaked out that something is wrong with this pregnancy (might be from my previous experience earlier this year). I am not positive how far along I am but I'm guessing between 4-5 weeks. I got my first Beta on Monday and my HCG level was 204, got a second test done on Wednesday (about a 42-44 hour difference between when blood was taken) and my level was 352. Is this too low of a level and not enough of an increase? I also have some serious back pain that I started feeling even before I ever got a positive on a home pregnancy test, and yesterday I started getting some pain in my pelvic area (right under c-section scar) but more to the left and radiating down between my legs. It's an on again/off again kind of pain.

I googled symptoms and now I'm obsessed over the fact that I might have an ectopic pregnancy. Does my risk increase for it after getting a D&C? Are my HCG levels too low and not rising enough?

The number itself doesnt matter... as long as they are rising... not falling.

Just because your last pregnancy ended in MC doesnt mean your next one will.

I had an MC... I got preg the SAME WEEK and I am now 6 months gone with a boy...

Good Luck, I am here if you need to talks!

I agree with the ladies above your numbers should double every other day and they have which is great.

I understand why you are so concerned after losing one child, but if you need some peace of mind call your md and have a chat with them and have a repeat blood test I am positive that with your recent history of losing one baby the dr. will understand your concerns

But I think that the pain is ok as well as long as there is no bleeding, back pain is going to be on and off again

hope this helps

I don't know if they're going to do another blood test. I sure hope so. I only spoke to a nurse who said the paperwork wasn't signed off on yet and she could only tell me they HCG number but not what it meant and that they'd give me a call later when the paperwork was looked over by a doctor. So here I am completely obsessing over the number. Oh well. I guess I have to be patient.

It's comforting to hear that other women have back aches too so early on! My last two pregnancies I had no back ache this early so I just assumed it was something bad.

Your numbers are rising at an appropriate rate which is good.

The pain you describe sounds more like it is related to the sciatic nerve than ectopic (google sciatic nerve pain for more information).  Pain from ectopic pregnancy doesn't usually start until further along in the pregnancy such as 7ish weeks.  It would a good idea to discuss your concerns with your doctor though for some peace of mind.

Best person to discuss this with is your doctor, everyones level rises differently,Ideally it should at least double, but your levels by no means suggest anything bad.they are rising which is the main thing.im currently 6-7 weeks pregnant also have the back ache etc, this is common at this stage, after a loss we all become obsessed with symptoms and start to panic.I myself have had eptopic, followed by 5 mc.so understand what your feeling, like many other ladies on this board.are they going to repeat the blood test.
