could i be pregnant ?

me and my boyfriend had sex this week and im due on next week . we planned we want a kid and well he cummed inside me last nite im just wondering if im too late to have got pregnant because of the ovulation system . can anybody help please xx

I understand....I"m sorry about your loss it's hard to heal from something like that. One healthy baby and another pregnancy now into the third trimester later and I STILL worry about miscarriage sometimes....try not to worry about it though. all you can do is try and wait and see what happens. Yes that's the best thing to do :). If it's late, you can test...and if you get a negative wait a few more days and test again....it's always possible, and if you recently miscarried your cycle may be a little messed up so it's hard to say. Good luck let me know what happens!

There's always a chance when you're having unprotected sex so yes, there's a chance. The reason the chart says that you are viable up to CD20 is because some women might ovulate late, or the sperm might meet the egg just before it passes out of the tube and becomes no longer viable....but this is not common. Possible, certainly, but it's better to aim towards the middle of your cycle when the chance of fertilization is the highest.

that chart is also for someone with a 28 day cycle u are viable of getting pregnant up to day 20 of ure cycle before ure period is due

I think that the chart is probably right and your ovulation date was right around the 9th/10th. the egg would not still be viable by now in most cases....you can wait and see, but like I said don't pin too many hopes on this cycle. it's always possible though

I would guess that you ovulated somewhere between the 9th to the 13th but I can't be sure. Like I said it's definitely possible, some women ovulate longer or shorter than 14 days before their period (varying length of luteul phase) but with a standard 28-day-cycle you can usually expect to ovulate smack in the middle. I would say wait until your period starts, mark that as cd 1...and then figure out 28 days from then when you should expect your next period to start...count backwards 14 days and begin trying a few days before and continue for a few days after...you can buy a ovulation predictor kit but if this is the first cycle trying you can hold off for awhile and just see how it goes. i conceived my first pregnancy completely by accident while on birth control (miscarried) and then I conceived my daughter and now my son (27wks pregnant) the first cycle trying for both....so I know that a lot of it comes down to getting the timing right and how fertile you are as long as there are no other factors affecting fertility, but I would say just try for a few months and see what happens.

you can always see if your period is late this cycle but I would say just start getting ready for the next one and try then. are you taking prenatal pills? you should increase your water intake, and then decrease it slightly right around when you start trying next cycle (to increase the thickness of your cervical mucus)...and exercise lightly most days of the week to keep your system pumping normally.

I'm sorry I meant to say....start trying 2 days before that day and continue until 2 days after that day (usually 5 days right over the middle of your cycle is your best chance).

Well it does depend on the length of your cycle, absolutely, but MOST women have a 14-day phase right before their period called the luteul phase, during which the body plans to either shed an unfertilized egg or nurture a fertilized one. So figure out what day your period is due, and that's Cycle Day 1. 14 days before that (which is USUALLY also 14 days after CD1 because most women average 28-day-periods but this is not always the case...so always count 14 days BEFORE your period starts not, 14 days after), for almost all women, is approximately when you will ovulate and have the highest chances of conceiving. 2 days before and 2 days after that day are the best times to start trying. How long is your cycle (average)?

i am from the uk yes and im nearly 18 . and well doesnt it depend on the lenght of your cycle everyone is different and ok .

Are you in the US? If so, we can't give you advice on how to conceive because you're underage, and this forum is not for teenagers trying to conceive. I ask because I don't know if you're from the UK where 17 is a legal adult....but at any rate, the answer to your question is that you most likely missed the window for this cycle and did not conceive. If you're that close to your period, your body is most likely already in the process of shedding the egg. It's possible but I would say not likely this month.
