could it be too early

my period is 2 days late but when i went to the clinic friday the test was negative it wasnt first morning urine im not sure if that matters or not but im having really bad headaches my breast are sore and my nipple is tender also its darker around the nipple area and i have little bumps too idk what it is could it be to early to tell???or is the pregnancy test correct at the doctors.IN NEED OF ADVICE PLZ

It doesn't have to be FMU if you've held your urine for at least 4 hours with little to drink. This will allow the hCG to build up, but if possible FMU is always recommended as it contains the highest amount of hCG.

Sometimes your HCG levels are not high enough to register in a urine test... I would request a blood test to be sure, you will have to wait a few days for the results but at least you will be sure about whats going on....
