Yeah...I would definitely go to another doctor. You shouldn't be ovulating on day 36 I wouldn't think and they should be more concerned about what your ovaries are doing while on Clomid.

By the way, I have PCOS and it wasn't a big deal for me. But again, another reason you should be getting regular scans. If you have cysts that are getting in the way of ovulation, there's a fairly simple procedure the doctor can do to remove the cysts. If I didn't get pregnant when I did, my doc was going to do it and he said everyone he has done this procedure with is pregnant within a couple of months. Sometimes there are so many cysts that the follicles don't have room to get big enough to release an egg. Go to another doctor, I'm sure any other doctor would be appalled with how this one has been treating you.

You should see another dr,clomid can be dangerous if not monitored carefully,he especially shouldnt be telling you to increase your dosage, without you first being scanned.seriously i would seek anothe dr.

We Have been ttc for a year or two,Ive not been on birth control for 13yrs.My other regular doctor one year said I should go to a specialist that deals more in depth with my problem she thinks I have pcos but no one has ever found out while doing test .The ob/gyn's nurse called me back yesterday & said that 36days & having clear discharge could be a sign of me o'ing & that all my symptoms of cramping where my ovary was swelling.I asked if need to come in she said no wait another week or so then if you dont have AF call back also asked her if going from 32-33 cycle on clomid to 36 or more was normal she said yes,but I thought that clomid would bring some regular cycles like I had last year on it with my cycles coming every 32days.My ob/gyn has told me before to take ovulation test but I read you cant really go by then when on clomid. He said well you should ovulate anywhere from a week or maore after take last pill and that was that,so went back after two months he said well everything seems to be fine I asked how he knew everything was fine he said wekk you are having AF so we know the pills are working then said take one more round of clomid @ 50mg then if not pregnat startr the 100mg and thats alll he said.

How long have you been ttc? Technically how long have you been off of birth control, that's what insurance will care about.

I would probably try another doctor honestly. I wasn't able to go on Clomid until insurance was on board because of all the follicle scans, they can get pretty expensive. Clomid over-stimulates your ovaries, and you need ultrasounds every month to monitor how big your follicles are getting, to make sure they aren't getting too big. Also, they should be giving you ultrasounds during the ovulation time to see when you are ovulating because you can only take Clomid for 6 cycles. Why waste those 6 cycles going at it blind?

I would go in on day 12 to have the follicles looked at, and usually again on day 14 when they would hopefully be the right size to ovulate (usually between 18-20). When one gets to that point, he would give me a shot of Profasi in my rear to ensure ovulation. Profasi gives the follicles a little "kick" to make sure it shoots out the egg within like 36 hours. Then we were told to have intercourse about 24 hours after the shot, or sometimes sooner. I hope that helps. I just can't believe that you have been on Clomid with no direction. It seems odd to me, but maybe that's just how my doctor did it.

You may not need the 100 mg if you could get a little help figuring out exactly when you are ovulating. I think it would be way too difficult for you to figure it out on your own, especially considering Clomid changes your ovulation time from what it would have been previously.

No,My doctor just said that I wasnt having a period due to not ovulating every month and took a couple of test and told me clomid would help. So started me on 50mg in july then went back in august he told me to take one more round of 50mg then go to 100mg havent started the 100mg yet due to havent had AF today is day 36 of my cycle and I would usually have AF 32-33 . But he has never seen if I've had any follicle's or not just said I would O in a week after my last pill been taking it for 3mnth now & no luck! December will be the last month I can be on clomid & me & my husband really want another chil we have one he is nine but would like one more. Dont know whether to go to another doctor or not.

Both times I have been pregnant it was with my first month on Clomid. Are they doing follicle scans around your ovulation days and giving you Profasi as well?

I was also on Clomid, and my doc told me that it makes you ovulate later, so it's possible that your cycle has just been lengthened. But I have also heard of women who have been pregnant but it not showing up on any tests until well after their period should have started. Retest in a few days and if your pd still hasn't come, call your doctor. With you being on Clomid, I'm sure they will be happy to give you a blood test to find out for sure.
