Happened to my aunt once. They said girl all the way through, she had bought a bunch of pink and also greens and yellows cause she wasn't sure and out comes a little boy lol. But, that was 26 years ago. My 12 week and 20 week ultrasound said boy on both. He wasn't shy either you could see it all lol

Im scared of that as well. I've had sono's at 12,16,20 weeks all show girl and I have 3 boys and one girl already so I could tell the difference. I see no balls or a penis so I'm pretty confident with my gut that its our little girl in there but its just something you can't help but think about...we have our 3D sono on May 22nd so I'm pretty sure its still a girl:)

Happened to my friend about 3 years ago. Was told throughout her pregnancy it was a girl, had EVERYTHING pink, and then her son was born lol. I'm so scared of that happening to me, although both the 20 wk & 28 wk sono showed a girl.

Its uncommon. Technology has evolved so much. Having a not good tech maybe could cause that to happen. But the only person I have ever known that to happen to was my mother. I was a boy until I was born lol. But that was nearly 23 years ago.

i think it depends when people are having u/s i know many people want to find out soon but the best time to see the best pictures is 20 weeks and usually if you have more than one u/s and they tell you the same things chances are they are right!  but if you just have one very early it can be hard to tell my hospital wont even take a look till after 19 weeks

That's one of my biggest fears right now, I feel like I'm going to push her out and see a set of balls lol there was no doubt in mind with my son I could see his thing plain as day! A woman posted on her a while ago about I think it was her friend was told its a girl and gave birth to a boy, turns out in the ultrasound they were mistaking the back of his balls for girl parts!

My sister has 5 girls, with the 4th one she was told it was a boy. I was right outside the door while she was pushing.and the Dr walked out and said "I didn't do the ultrasound!" So it does happen
