sex after birth...?

So it's been 11 days since I had my daughter. I had a normal delivery no stitches just a very small rip that's now healed. I guess my questions are do you all think safe sex would be,okay and what are any experiences.... HELP! :-)

Also u could risk getting an infection so that's why u should wait a little longer

We waited 3 weeks. It was hard to wait that long. And my midwife gave me the evil eye when I told her. HA! it is a bit of a gamble. I know this might be TMI but I wouldn't allow him to finish inside till after 6 weeks. 6 weeks is when your uterus is healed up and something doesn't seem right about little semen swimming around in a uterus trying to heal. ya know? Take it slow.

usually doctors recommend you wait 6 weeks, but as long as you okay with your doctor you could do it sooner, just be sure to use protection since you are very fertile after having a baby

I agree when you do decide to start slow, but keep in mind how fertile you are too!

It is recommended that you wait 4 weeks. Labour puts a lot of strain on your body so you need to give it time to heal otherwise it could lead to complications. It is worth waiting a few more weeks as you may end up being in a lot of pain. When you do decide to go for it take it slowly and stop if you experience any pain.
