cramps, bleeding and blood clot

Thia morning around 4am I went to the restroom only to find blood. I then laid in bed for hours dosed off got back up around 9ish went to the restroom and blood plus blood clots were in the toilet. After that release my cramps went away. The cramp pain just felt like normal cycle cramps nothing major. Im lost for words my dr apt has already been set for this upcoming Tuesday so I was going to wait until then. Has anyone else have this issue or similar?

I think you should call your doc, explain symptoms,  and go from there.  Maybe your just irritated from pap smear..maybe its more serious.  Im sure ur worried and might even be in a state of denial. You'll feel worse if its a threatened miscarriage that u can prevent by seeking immediate medical input.

I had the same thing at about 13-14 weeks. I thought for sure I had lost my baby. I went to the ER immediately and my baby was still alive but said I had a threatened miscarriage but they couldn't tell me why I was passing clots or bleeding. Told me to relax and drink lots of water. At about 20 weeks I found out I had placenta previa and that's what was causing it. I'm fine now though and I'll be 29 weeks Tuesday.

Ok well if you are not concerned none of us are going to convince you otherwise. Clots are usually never a good thing and bleeding vs spotting is also not good. So you do whatever you think is right but I personally would've at least called the on call doc before posting to a bunch of women who aren't docs. Sorry if this sounds rude it just seems you don't actually want anyone to tell you anything

I didn't have the clots until after I woke up I was told cramping and bleeding was normal so thats why I went back to sleep. Just regular cramps im already use to and can take. Nothing too major where I can't walk or anything

Clots are not normal. Cramping, spotting is. Call your doc office there should be a number for the on call doc. And ask them what you should do. I personally would've been at the er at 4 am when bleeding first occurred. It could be something as simple as a uti or you could've miscarried your baby.

You should probably go to the hospital asap.  I would have gone instead of going back to bed.
