First of all, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Prayers to you! Second, I just found out that I'm right around 4 weeks, and I've been cramping like AF was about to start. My OB told me this is totally normal and it's due to the baby "burrowing" into your uterine lining in addition to your uterus growing/stretching to prepare for your new little tenant. Congrats on the pregnancy and try to relax as much as you can! If the cramps get so bad that they are really painful and/or you start bleeding, you need to call the doc. Best wishes!!
I'm 6 weeks + 1 day and cramps are part of my day. I posted a similar question almost a week ago and when I saw my midwife she reasured me that it was normal to have light to mild cramping because my uterus is growing to house a baby for the next few months. But like the other ladies have said, if its severe I would contact your doctor or go to emerg.
Your fears are natural and normal, but like Clysta said, unless you're in extreme pain, everything's probably fine. Try a heating pad, hot water bottle or Tylenol (no Midol, ibuprofen, etc.) if you're really uncomfortable, or just something soothing like tea or a bath.
I measured 5 and a 1/2 weeks at my last visit and have been cramping off and on pretty much since implantation! LOL usually all it means is that your body's moving stuff around in there to fit a baby in.
Are they severe at all? Cramping while pregnant is normal, but should not be severe, make you unable to function or be accompanied by bleeding. If it's mild to moderate in most cases it is fine - if it is something that doesn't feel right though, never hesitate to speak to your doctor about it and see what they say.
it could be fear because of your current loss of the previous baby....but if you are having a lot of cramps please dont hesitate ti call your doctor...if not just rest up kick your feet and relax a little cause it maybe nothing..'
Praying that your little baby stick and you have a amazing pregnancy!!
