So me and my husband are taking care of my moms dog while she on the road in a big truck with my step dad they sold there house in Florida to move here to Alabama to live close to me once baby is born but anyway so we have her dog her name is Shelby she weighs 4 pounds and that's fully grown for her. Shes so tiny its cute she like my little sis since she originally my mom dog back to the point she sleeps in the bed with us and right now I'm waiting onmy husband to get home from work it 2:30am here well I got up to get me a bowl of cereal and when I got in bed to eat it she came out from under the covers with bed head hair barley keeping her balance looking at me like where's my bowl lol she think she is human so truly has been so spoils she acts like a princess at all time but its so cute cause she so sweet all she wants to do is give love lol what are y'all animals like? I think Shelby knows I'm prego cause she sit by my belly at all times

Im just wondering how my baby girl would have reacted to me being pregnant. She was a blue healer dachshund mix and I miss her terribly

I have a chihuahua named chapo and he is always jumping on my belly.  He loves sitting on my belly as well.  But my poor hubby can't get near my belly because chapo will go after him...it's actually cute how our animals protect us.

Aww thats cute I have a cat called dora and iv always spoilet her and now I think she knowss im pregnant because she has been a little monster lol I think all animals react differently

Labs are awesome! That's what our big dog is! He is always checking up on me and making sure I'm ok.

Wow its the complete opposite with my sister's dog and cat they love to jump on my belly hard :( now on the other hand lil bit, little girl I nanny dog, will literally protect my belly from Harley, the other Chihuahua, their lab will lay down at my feet

Yes dogs treat me different now that I am pregnant. My little dog is 10 lbs and I've had her since she was a puppy and she has always been pretty close with me. She lays her head on my belly all the time! There for a while I could only sleep of she was on my belly, it would soothe the baby, which is weird. She all of the sudden has been very protective, she has bit two people that I don't like, which is never a good thing...but it's like she knew I didn't want them around, it's so weird! She does that same thing, she sleeps under the blankets with me and will sleep right up near my crotch. She is so gentle now with me, and our big dog always comes and checks on me throughout the day. I think animals can sense the hormone change and can tell when someone is pregnant. Even my friends dog who jumps on me all the time now will not jump up in my lap or jump on me when I go to her house anymore, he also sleeps on my belly. It's so weird how they can tell what's going on with us!

Littlemumtobe- my older sis name is Dora so that's awesome she sounds cute my doggy/lil sis Shelby is very clingy my little shadow and Epy1609 Shelby smiles at people to its awesome I love animals so much I tote Shelby around like she a baby. Your doggy sound cute

My boyfriend's housemates just got a kitten I think 10 or 11 weeks old now, named Dora and she LOVES people but every chance she gets even straight after I put her down she climbs up onto the couch and sits on my little bump, it's so cute but annoying

I have been told animals can sense if you're pregnant && if you are really close to them they are clingy and protective. My dog is very clingy with me and in my first trimester he wouldn't let many people around me even my boyfriend.

I have a 6lbs chihuahua named Sophie. Shes adorable..likes to lay on my belly normally but now that im so big she fights with my son (he kicks her off)!
I also have a Doberman named Rogue who is so sweet she literally smiles at you when you get home! Its super cute but because she's a big dog people get scared since she shows her teeth (when she smiles)! My babies are characters!
