decrease in fetal movement :(

I'm really worried.  I'm 30 weeks pregnant and my baby barely moves but when I go to the doctor they check her heart and tell me she's fine. However when I read online that a healthy baby will move around a lot.  Is there something wrong with my baby?  :(

This sounds weird, but shine a flashlight on your stomach. Place it against your skin & move it all around. Hold it in certain spots until you feel movement. I did this when I was like 20 weeks & my baby would move all around. I guess they can see the light & it's kinda brighter than what they're used to so they move away from it. Hope this helps! :-)

My baby was the same way.. He's here now and healthy! Try eating or drinking something and play loud music or something to wake him/her..

Some babies don't move much but they are perfectly healthy.

The concern,  when you have a baby that doesn't move much is they aren't getting enough oxygen so they are conserving their movement.  If your baby has a good strong heartbeat,  then that's not the case - it's getting plenty of oxygen.

If you watch a kindergarten class walk down the hall,  you'll see that some walk quietly and in line,  and some are skipping and singing and hopping around.  Babies are like that too.  ;D

My doctor told me to drink something cold then lay on my left side, if the baby move at least 10 times within 2 hours. Everything is ok.
