Seeing Ur dentist is important during pregnancy for preventive care. Also if you have a cavity it can lead to an infection that can harm your baby. As a dental assistant I can say dental hygiene is important during pregnancy. Studies are showing that plaque in you mouth is link to plaque un your blood vessels.
Most dental procedures are completely safe, and you should absolutely see your dentist for regular checkups throughout your pregnancy. Dental issues can cause a lot of problems so they should not be put off during pregnancy. Just let them know before hand that you are pregnant and if you need a procedure run it by your OB for reassurance.
