You should take them.  Have to?.. no.  It is recommended and it's for the best.  I have never missed a day and I am 35+5.  Why not take them, it's not like they can do anything bad, but can do a lot of good.  If you plan on breastfeeding it's best to take them for as long as you breastfeed too.

Well I feel like everyone / pregnancy is different you may have no effect from not taking them or you may have a effect from not taking it I just wouldn't risk it because people say nothing has happened to their baby the doctors don't tell you to take something that's not necessary ijs but its your decision goodluck !

Yes it really is the best thing you can do if you don't eat right.  If you ca't swallow pills get the gummy ones.  Granted women didn't take them years ago, but there were a lot less things to worry about that can hurt babies now, not to mention there were a lot of weird things that happened to babies back then!

My friend never took hers. and when she was pushing she kept like falling asleep/fainting because she was so weak and the Doc. said it was because she never took her prenatal vit.

I feel like its not necessary. But I don't eat healthy enough for me. So at least I know my baby gonna get the nutrients he need through the vitamins.

My mom didn't take them with me or my brothers and we are all fully develpoed and perfect bill if health and I know that they weren't always available I mean 200 years ago women were having babies and didn't have prenatals lol I took them religiously my first trimester and I stoped for a while in the second and my sweet girl is perfect she is actually big the baby is going to get what it needs from your body so if you forget or stop a while its not a big deal

You really should, your baby goes through different very important stages of development each trimester, is there a reason you don't want to take them?
