HI I have type 2 diabetes n im 9 weeks. I dont take medication for it I try to control it by eating healthy. But im really worried if it can affect my baby so when I go to my ob next week for the first time what option would I have i mean I will take It if they tell me to for my baby . Is anyone else a diabetic?  How was your experience ? Was the baby ok after birth?

As long as you take care of yourself and see the dr regularly, you will be fine :)

I am diabetic, too. Type 2. I was on Metformin but stopped when I found out I was pregnant. I let the dr know from the beginning. They put me back on it around 10 weeks and at 13 weeks decided that it would be best to put me on insulin. I am now 33 weeks pregnant and still on insulin but there have been no problems or complications. Try not to worry. I will gladly answer any question you may have. Good luck.
