diarrehea? ? tmi sorry

I heard that if you have diarrhea it means labor can be close? Anyone experience this? I know it's gross, sorry :/ I lost the rest of my mucus plug yesterday afternoon I'm 39+4 really hoping this is a good sign!

P.s. I was induced on a Monday and hadn't had a BM at all since the Thursday before. And still didn't end up pooping in labor. My doctor told me that it could be clearing out and that you are less likely to poop when in labor.

I had really bad dihareha from week 33-36 and still ended up being induced at 39 weeks despite being in preterm labor for 5 weeks! I had all of the "signs of labor" happen to me and none of them set me into actual labor. But every pregnancy and every labor is different. So it could be a sign for you.

I would say diarrhea,  you just go to the toilet more often.

Well I've been taking Metamucil daily from the beginning of my pregnancy my OB says it helps keep your stool from getting too hard or too soft so keeps you "regular".

im 38+4 and i had it for a week , but then went away .. still no baby :) but the reason it went away is because im taking iron tablet and one of their symptoms is the opposite of diarreah..

No. Diarrhea occurs bc baby needs as much room as possible and liquid poop in your insides is easier for them to squish to get comfortable than a solid stool. It "happens before labor" bc weeks before full term baby is finally big enough to need that room.

I really hope so! I hate how all the symptoms are "could mean labor is near.. or not" haha

I heard it's because your body cleans itself out before so Maybe! Hopefully labor comes soon for us!(;

Im 38+3 and have had diarrhea for over a week. No labor yet but maybe soon.

I hope so too I've been feeling like I have it but my poop isn't runny (sorry lol) and I'm having tons of pressure and lower back pain.
