diet and pregnancy

I am currently 6.2 days pregnant and am having quite bad ms.  I do throw up at least 2 times a day and the rest of the time find it a real struggle to look at and eat food.  I am taking my vitamins but am having trouble keeping much else down.  I know this is a really important time in the babies development and was wondering how bad it is that i can't seem to eat much and when i do it is not the best type of food.

thank you so much, it is just so horrible to feel like this all day.  I get about 3 seconds in the morning when i wake up before wham it hits me and i think oh great another day of feeling like this.  I just can't wait until i don't hate every part of my day.  I know that sounds extream but really the whole day is just a nightmare - trying to make sure i eat somthing, feed my toddler and attempt to not put her in front of the T.V all day.  Sorry for the drama but i am just holding it together.  I will try some of your ideas and i really hope it is just 6 more weeks.

I had the SAME EXACT problem.
I couldn't STAND the sight or scent of food up until I was approching my 2nd trimester.
Basically what I did I just ate alot of what appatized me.
And I drank a **** LOAD of caffeine free Ginger Ale with lots and lots  of ice in it.
It really did help.

I always drank it with my meals, it helped settle my stomach.

And any other time of the day I'd drink water.

But if I got randomly nauseated again, I'd sip in summore.

There's this stuff called "Coke Syrup" that you can buy.
I was told by a pharmasist that it was okay to take it while you're pregnant cuz all it is is the flavored syrup they use to make coke.
[[it actually tastes pretty bad without the suddzey stuff in it.]] but it's like an instant nausea fix.
Consult your doc before taking it though just incase he doesn't want you to take it.
I made best friends with that **** and ginger ale during my first trimester.
Now this trimester it's TUMS.
lolol.

So yeah, just pretty much eat alot of what you find appatizing just aslong as it's not junk food like candy, chips, cake, etc... cuz you do need your nutrients for the baby.

Try to sneak in a salad here in there if you can manage.

I ate alot of pickles and wax banana peppers during my first trimester.
They're supposed to be healthy for you, along with the fact that they're tasty and I was craving them alot during my first tri. for some reason. lol.

I also ate alot of home-made tacos.
And once a week I'd make myself a tuna wrap because even though when you're preg you're not supposed to eat alot of tuna because of high murcury content... but I put more lettuce and cheese in it than tuna.
And I used a tomato bazil wrap because they're high in nutrients.

I also found Vanilla Bean Ice Cream helped my tummy settle late at night like a few hours before bed I'd have myself a small bowl.
Or a popcicle or freezepop.
Anything icy helped.

Sorry I wrote so much, I was just trying to give you options.
I hope some of these things help you out.

Just 6 more weeks and you'll be into your 2nd trimester and all the probs will go away.
Well atleast most of them. lol.
Then you'll run into different probs. lol
