different medication?

My Dr said I have a yeast infection but I have had one before and I got pills this time she gave me this cream and a tube and I fill the tube with the cream and stick the tube up my vag and release the cream in there. Why would she prescribe this why couldn't I get pills. I thought that's what I was getting and it's to late to call and ask her why I got it.  Is there different kinds of yeast infections that's why I got the cream?  I don't like it I feel like the pills would work better

I never tried the cream Hopefully it works just as well as the pill. It's my second day using it and I feel much better then before.

I had the same thing happen too me, im 31 weeks and got a yeast infection my doctor said the reason they use the cream instead of pills is because it safer that way during pregnancy, so no worries the cream works just as good! (:

Maybe that's why I'm only 11 weeks

Some medications are only safe at certain points in the pregnancy.
