Underactive thyroid and want a baby

I have an underactive thyroid me and my partner are trying for a baby my concern is that if I was to fall pregnant I know any bleeding can be bad but how do u differ spotting which is a sign of pregnancy to a any bleed whether it be light that you need to go to emergency room and get the anti d injection to save baby, I ask this has I lost a baby at 7 weeks and I was bleeding.. I know spotting is different but is that something to be concerned about with the condition I have... Would love to hear from other people on this..

Gahhh. I can't explain myself well tonight. Sorry about that. I'm sure I left out something I meant to put in.

Also. (I may have went off topic. Teaches me for trying to answer something at 2am) You should only need this if you're rhesus status is different from the baby's. From what I just read, when your two blood types are different and they mix, your antibodies will start to attack the baby. I'm not sure if the bleeding your having is from something else, or if it's just miscarriage bleeding that can happen to people.

Thanks for your response I am going to talk to my doctor about it for sure I just haven't had the chance to go yet. I am concerned because I think I might be yet I have been spotting for the last few days, if I am I don't want to lose this baby again. It terrifies me to think I might be however I am spotting which I should have gone to the hospital.. Anyway I do appreciate your response thank u.

I don't know too much about this, but from what I've read, it's best to talk to your doctor so they can come up with a plan to help the growing child. I know that in the first trimester all thyroid hormone in the fetus is being supplied by the mother, and if you have hypothyroidism the baby will experience it too. And at that point the brain is developing so it could have issues later on. Either way, you'll want to figure everything out with your doctor so you have a healthy pregnancy and child at the end.
