Thanks. I just wondered cuz we used to give my nephew water sometimes, but he had pyloric stenosis. I did too so,i guess it will depend on wether he has any intestinal problems then.
No you do not give NB water. Formula and breastmilk have enough to hydrate them properly. Should they become sick and need hydration other forms would be recommended by your pediatrician's

Yes I gave my newborn water it helps wash out the milk and helps them not to get thrush! But only like a oz or a couple of good ***** after milk u don't want them to think there full and they have only had water and I gave my daughter distilled water cause its safe! But ask ur doc cause everyone is different#
Babies never need water... Formula or breast milk is mostly water so they will stay hydrated. If you have a child that is vomiting your Dr may recommend water or pedialyte however on a day to day basis baby should not get water because baby needs the calories and nutrients. If you are worried they are getting dehydrated you can give more formula or breast milk
