does braxton hicks hurt?

I am 23 weeks pregnant an i have had about 15 pains in the last 24 hours where my belly tightens up and it hurts for about 30 seconds. Do ypu think these are braxton hicks or something else?

The doctors say that Braxton hicks don't hurt but if you're not used to it or haven't gone trough labor before they can hurt a bit. For me since this is my third the Braxton hicks don't hurt they are just notable tightenings but I also have an irritable uterus so I also have uterine contractions that are uncomfortable and sometimes hurt a little often that are stronger then Braxton hicks ever are.

for me braxton hicks are mildly painful. with this pregnancy i've had a few already and i found them painful so far. if you are getting more than three an hour you should absolutely call your doctor or midwife.
i found having a warm bath helped ease my discomfort.

You need to speak to your midwife they arnt painful just uncomfortable.
