My scan said the same as well its just a soft marker meaning if their is no other signs of diwn syndrome the baby doesnt have it! The spot on my babies heart dissapeared at about 25 weeks!
A calcification in a fetal heart is just a "soft marker" for ds. That means there's a high chance that this is just nothing. Your ob will likely send you for a fetal echo and a more detailed anatomy scan in a few weeks. You may even be offered an amniocentesis. I trust the results of all those will come out just fine. Try not to stress too much. This is much more common than you know. Most of the time there is nothing wrong with the baby.
Is this your first child?
It could have been worse, I know it is scary, n not the result any mother WANTS to hear, But your baby will love you n you will love your baby. Do your research on things you should know about a child with down syndrome. Educate yourself so your ready for the worst, n if baby turns out to be fine, then great, if not, your prepared
I'm not one to belive or spit out things about God but this little person in side of you is nothing to be sad about down syndrome isn't as bad as it used to be they are awesome kids and live wonderful lives and this little one will be counting on you i see it a a blessing :) it could be soooooo much worse

Mine Had That Too.... It's Nothing To Worry AbouT Most Of The Time!
Try not to stress. My 20 week scan didn't go as well as I thought it would. Just remember something could change..it could have just been the machine. And remember God won't give you something you can't handle. If He gives you a baby with down syndrome there's a reason. But the doctors and techs are wrong sometimes. And even if it does happen its not anything you did. Don't beat yourselfup momma. Its all going to be okay.
Dnt beat urself up ithink dwn syndrome babies r cute..nd they r the most sweetest gentle nd they become very bright students..they just look different..iknow every mommy would want a good healthy bby..but having dwn syndrome doesnt necessarily mean baby is not healthy
