upset family member

Last weekend my fiance(26) and myself(22) told my whole family that i am pregnant.  Everyone said congrats but my sister who is 30 seemed to be very upset.  Later that day i find out that my sister was pregnant the doctors had told her that she has an ectopic pregnancy.  Well she went back to the doctors a couple weeks ago and finds out that they had misdiagnosed her and that they had aborted the baby for no reason.  Now im feeling like pooh bc i didnt know about that and announcing that i was pregnant made her cry and unhappy.  Now im not going to let her rain on my parade but is there something i can do to help her?  To make it right?  She wont speak to me, should i give her time to cope?  Im worried she wont want anything to do with me or her niece/nephew?

I had a similar incident with a family member of mine.. long story, short, i got pregnant when i was still in high school and she had jst had her second miscarriage, when I found out i was pregnant, she got pretty upset and bothered that a high schooler could get pregnant so young n she was having so much trouble..it took her a couple months to accept it but my husband and i invited her to a couple ultrasounds n constantly kept her updated and the more we made her a part of the pregnancy the closer we got... and she is now my daughters godmother and loves her tremendously...

She will come around. she is just going thru a rough time and there is nothing that you or anyone can do about it... So sorry to hear that though that she had to go thru that.
