down syndrome maternal test!

Question

Yesterday I got some blood work to test for down syndrome! How long does it take to get results back?? Dr told me that if they didn't call me, that everything was just fine, but if they did, something was wrong! I got the 1 hr glucose test as well (for having a very small trace of glucose on urine) and the same they won't call Mr unless something is wrong! But they didn't tell me how long should I be waiting for a call!!

I did the same test they never called but acouple weeks later i received a letter in the mail about the tests and.everything was fine , so you have nothing to worry about

For the glucose test it took my doc about a week to call me back and I had to go take the 3hour one, which was fine :)

My doc called me either way to tell me everything was fine . Cause I had it by blood work with this baby but had it by ultrasound last pregnancy . But when they called me , they told me everything was great and fine and that I was having another boy lol

My glucose test result took a week. My down syndrome test result took about 2-3 weeks. It depends on if your doctor's office has its own lab or do they send it off to another lab for processing. Also, my dr. releases all results online as soon as they're in (if there're no abnormalities). So I was able to see the results a lot quicker since back then I was seeing him every 4 weeks. If it's all normal, you might have to wait until your next appt to hear it from your doctor. But hey my doctor always says, no phone call is good news! Stay positive!!

If its the same protocol there as it is here, the down syndrome test has a few different elements to it and therefore can take a while. All said and done mine took about a month. Listen to your doc though. Assume all is well unless you get a call. Good luck!

They didn't tell me either I had blood drawn foe the same test but I have an appt on the 16th so I will ask then.
