Negative blood type will I have to get the shot??

I can't remember the name of the shot but I have o negative. Will I have to get the shot? Does it matter what my husband's blood type is? Like if his is negative also will I have to get it still?

@blopez you only have to get the shot if your blood type is negative. If baby happens to have positive blood and mom has negative, it can cause some really bad complications during delivery. The shot neutralizes the effect it would have. I got mine around 28 weeks, and I'll get another dose right after delivery as well. Thats how my doctor explained it to me at least.

Yes I have o negative also I have to get the Rohan or however u spell that shot I get another dose at 28 weeks

Yes you'll have to get the shot. I'm o-neg also, and my doc said it was pretty important that I get it. If thefather is also neg then its mainly just a prprecaution as far as I know.
