first time momma

Hi I am 18 weeks pregnant and I have had a previous miscarriage so about a month ago I bought a fetal doppler. This thing has made me so happy and feel at ease so much! My question is, is it normal for my baby to still be so low when I go to find it with the doppler? I sometimes find it a few inches below my belly button but most of the time I find it even lower. This might be a dumb question but I was just wondering.

I keep hearing if you carry low then it's a boy but now I'm wondering if my little one is a girl with yalls responses lol. I have no idea about those old wives tales because I haven't been sick or anything and my baby's heart rate hasn't gotten under 165.

Thanks ladies! That's what my mom has been telling me but I can't really rely on her advice so much because she didn't even know she was pregnant with until she over half way done! Which I believe I'm doing just like her, absolutely no sickness and not even showing yet. It's just hard to even believe I'm pregnant lol!

Yea pretty standard. Right from the get go mine was head down in the birthing position, but I had a history of premies and she probably thought she was going to be born soon. Too bad for her I took the p17 shot once a week to make sure she stayed in there. Anyways, don't worry. Some babies its just more comfy down there.
