13 wks... last preg. ended in miscarriage ...

So I am 21 yo and although i am overjoyed about this pregnancy i am having a hard time getting "comfortable" with this pregnancy since the last one ended in aug as a miscarriage ... that was a very hard time for me i was 7 wks pregnant and since i just made it out of my 1st trimester i feel relieved... but i am still on the edge like everytime i go to the BR i check for blood frequently. also i work at a nursing home so my job requires me to lift on people several times a day whichh also makes me nervous. Does anyone who has been through this before have any advice to help ease my mind? Thank you.

i think its somethin like 1 in 5 lose one first time around , not a nice thing , but do take it easy now, n if ur ever worried see doc

I would inform ur employer heavy lifting is dangerous at for u at th moment as ur pregnant & don't want to lose baby. U say u have just passed ur first trimester so I'm guessing ur 12 or 13 weeks? CONGRATULATIONS & welcome to second trimester. I'm 19+2 & I still check for bleeding everytime I go to th toilet. I guess it just plays on ur mind after 1 loss.

I have sweetheart.  I misscarried in. February of 2011 at 7 weeks.  And got pregnant again in may of 2011. I just delivard my healthy happy little boy on january 16th :) just dont think about misscarriage. Now that ur out of the first trimester ur chances r very very very very LOW!! :) goodluck!

i went thro same thing im 22 now , lost a baby christmas 2011 was about 7 8 weeks preg, unknown reason why i lost it, but heard its quite common in first pregnancies, i fell pregnant again n couldn relax every day was a relieve n eventually i relaxed, im now 34 weeks pregnant with a lil boy , u will never get over it completely but its best u try n relax n easy with the heavy lifting ,
