39 weeks exactly!

So today is my 39week mark and no sign of my baby boy. I've been walking and being active a lot the past week but nothing. My Dr. Hasn't checked me and I'm scared to ask. But I was checked 3 weeks ago and they said I was almost to a 1cm. I've tried pineapple and nipple stimulation but my baby boy is stubborn. How far along were you ladies when labor begin and how did it start? Im a ftm and not sure what labor will be like when it starts. And how long was your labor?

I was 39+5 when I went into labor.
I went to my of and she told me I was only 50% effaced and not dilated. My water broke that same evening and I had my baby the next day.
13hours of labor and my baby boy arrived.  I am a FTM.

I was 39+5. I went to the hospital because I thought my water broke, which it didn't, and on my way home I felt a weird contraction and I didn't really think much of it until like an hour later, I started getting them about every 15 minutes and they didn't stop... They kept getting closer and closer until noon the next day, they were finally 5 minutes apart so I went in and I was just starting active labor(: I was in early labor for 17 hours /:
