There isn't really much you can do but what and see what happens. Either the pregnancy will progress or it won't but there isn't a way for the dr to know for sure so that's why they say wait and see.
The only thing you can do is wait and see. Hormone level's are just right for a pregnancy that far along. As long as the pregnancy is viable, and you saw a heartbeat then I wouldn't worry. I would how ever get a second opinion.... Sometimes it's very hard to see a baby's heart beat at 5 weeks. It's usually seen between 6-8 weeks. But keep us posted on how she's doing .
I agree with SunWorshiper at this point you are just going to have to wait and see.
As long as the baby was in the Uterus and not the tube that would be a great a sign. Did the doctor tell you or show you where the baby was because if she did that would give a little bit of a better idea of what was going on
Hope all works out for the best
Thanks for your responses,
We have decided to change doctors. Our new doc is looking over the file, and said he wants to get her in for an appointment. He is suggesting HCG test, and said with the levels going so slow she should be on hormone pills. He said the good news is the baby is in the correct place and fairly the right size, and that we saw a heartbeat. However, the hcg is not rising fast enough and he is concerned with the heart rate. Will let everyone know how it goes once we can get test done, thx again for the help
Not sure if anyone still reads this post, but I am proud to report that we finally found out what the complications was for. TWINS, Just found out yesterday and they are identical and have great heartbeats. No complications, just double trouble on the way
Thats great news! Congratulations and Are you changing doctors so this doesnt happen again?? I would personally.
Congrats
x
yes, we changed and thats how we found out the news
CONGRATULATIONS.....That sure is exciting news :)
Congrats! What good news, thats so exciting for you guys!
Glad you changed docs! Slow rising HCG doesnt always mean a bad thing. And it was wrong for your other doc to basically decide to terminate for you!! Unprofessional!
They will see more in the next scan!
Everyone is different with HCG and your old doc is wrong and a complaint should be made!!!! And gooooood goood it isnt Ectopic, because thats bad!!!
Just wait and see. Everything will turn out for the best :)
why is he concerned about the heart rate. You cant normally detected one untill 6 - 7 weeks?
