Do some of your own research, but there have been studies that show more than 2 ultrasounds have negative effects on a growing fetus.  I suggest you do your own research and see what information you can come up with.

How many have you had and what are the reasons for each of them?

I got one at weeks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 14. I am also considered a High Risk and on top of that am having twins. I will continue to go every other week from here on out until the doctor advises us differently. Good luck to you and congrats on your pregnancy!!

I had 2 In my first trimester but with my last pregnancy every three days for the last 6 weeks cause of being high risk.... There are many people that believe ultrasound can cause some complications or whatever but there has never been any kind of proof but it is said that the full risk of ultrasound is not yet established... I really don't think it's anything to worry about

I had at least one a month my last pregnancy and the first trimester and third trimester of this pregnancy bi-weekly because I am high risk. Ultrasounds dont hurt the baby and your doctor will always weigh the benefit vs the risk when it comes to anything in your pregnancy. Try not to stress.
