ectopic pregnancy

How hard is it to diagnose an ectopic pregnancy, and if this type of pregnancy is not detected in a reasonable amount of time can it be deadly?

Lilmika,
An eptopic is where the egg does not implant in the womb, but in your  fallopian, tube.this will make the pregnancy non viable,as it cannot survive there.it can also be life threantning if not detected..

To detect an ectopic pregnancy, you need to see your doctor. With ectopic pregnancies you should feel some pain and tenderness in your lower abdomen along with some bleeding, but some women have neither of these symptoms. The doctor will probably want to take some blood tests to check your hcg levels and also perform an ultrasound to make sure the fetus is located in the uterus where it should be. It can definitely be deadly if not caught in time. If you are worried about an ectopic pregnancy, you should see your doctor asap. The fetus can rupture your fallopian tube (or wherever the fetus is attached to) and this can cause internal bleeding.

Yes it can be a dangerous situation; your tube could rupture and cause a great deal of pain. Have you tested positive for pregnancy? And what makes you think its eptopic? Because if it is you need to see a doctor ASAP
