And i said T U R D not the S word. Idk why it bleeped it.
They saw all of those little bones. No worries. :) Just from a different angle. We had to look at them from the tummy up. Lol It's so hard to explain how she was sitting. And when we FINALLY saw a bit of profile, she'd punch me and move. Already being a little **** like her father. ;) lol So they're hoping in 4 weeks she'll be big enough that we can see everything no matter what.
Here's the scoop on the profile pic. Sure it's cute BUT VITAL to see because that view allows one to see the presence or absence of a nasal bone. An absent or small nasal bone has a very high likelihood ratio for Down syndrome. Also, a small chin (micrognathia) can be associated with chromosomal abnormalities. Cute pic but very, very important.
Also her kidneys are there, they just couldn't get a good enough pic and they're wanting to be thorough.
They wanted to give her time to grow and be able to move out of the position she's in. She was seriously curled up so weird. Lol Everything else came back normal that's why they were not worried. And the profile pic was just for fun. Again the position she was in just made things difficult. Lol
I had mine at 20 weeks exact and she was so hyper i have to go back at 24 weeks! We did get like 10 somewhat good pics to bring home to show big sissy! The lady that did it named her the wild child.
Anterior placenta just means it is attached to your uterus along the front of your belly. Posterior means it is attached along the back wall of your uterus. Odd to return in 4 weeks to complete the anatomy survey. IMO, they should have you return in 1 week if it is just profile and kidneys. Do you know the significance of seeing the profile? Also vital to see kidneys.
She said mine was anterior as well. Is that what it means?
The anatomy scan at 20 weeks for me she kept her hands in her face. But as for seeing things like kidneys and stuff I'm assuming the tech saw it all cus she never said anything was wrong. But it wasn't till I was 28 weeks and went to a 3d ultrasound that I found out I have an anterior placenta (its infront of her instead of behind her). And during that she kept her head turned so it was kinda hard to get good pics.
