excessive amniotic fluid
I have been informed that i have excessive amniotic fluid, because of this i have had more ultrasounds than normal to ensure baby boy is not affected by it. Everything is fine with baby but im not sure as to what all risks come with excessive fluid. I have been told that it increases my chance of needing a csection, im more likely to go into preterm labor, and my water may break way too early. Im 27 weeks today and this is baby #3 so im getting super nervous that i could go into labor in the near future and im soooo not ready yet. Any of you ladies been through a pregnancy with excessive amniotic fluid? Or even currently going through one that your dr has actually answered your questions?
Like even the information about the csection and preterm labor i had to find online cause my midwife wouldnt answer any of my questions with anythibg other than "well everything should be fine" or "well there arent really any statistics" and my favorite "well were gonna keep monitoring it" well seeing as shes been a midwife for 30+ years her answers should be a little less generic than that!
No they never told me anything except i have excessive fluid but baby is not affected by it . What is afi?
