false pregnancy readings?????

soooo I am 8days late and took a pregnancy test its came up positive just before I get my hopes up what is the chance of a false positive xxxx

False positives are very unlikely, like already said above, since you have to have the hcg hormone in you urine for the test to show positive. Congratulations! You're pregnant ;-)  hope all goes well for you! Hugs

Chances of a fake positive are really low.. They will only display positive if there is enough of the hcg hormone in your pee. False negatives are a lot more likely to happen cos you might not have enough of the hormone yet. Hope that makes sense and congratulations!! :)
