I stopped taking mine, just because I forget to take them! My baby is developing just fine. My ob said she doesn't recommend not taking them but to know that they are more for mommy then anything, she said the baby will take all the nutrients it needs from you.

I had to stop the first half of the pregnancy because of the same reason than my friend told me to get gummy ones and take them at night before you ho to bed and ive been doing that for 3 months now and feel way better. And my chunky monkey is about 4 1/2 lbs at week 32 according to my last ultrasound. So it hasnt affected him one bit. Just make sure if you don't than drink plenty of water and eat your protein and fruits and veggies :)

If you can't take Solid pre natals bc I can't either Puke weather I've eaten 3x that day ashtray or not but you should take them.  I take nature made liquid gels with dha and omega 3 that part optional but try liquid gels much easier on your stomach much easier to digest. If that Doesn't work just take Flintstones chewable but take 2 of them.  You need the extra vit and things esp the folic acid.

It's for the baby. The folic acid prevents spinal deformities in the baby and the fish oil helps with the development if nerves and brain.

They made me violently ill too. OB said it was fine just take the folic acid and even that you only need for the 1st trimester. Just try to eat really well :-)

Its mostly for you anyways, I took mine the first trimester but couldn't take how I felt after I took them anymore. Everything in them you can get from diet and I'm a healthy eater. My son is measuring over what he should and is perfectly healthy and I've had a normal pregnancy.

Was it just the fact of swallowing a large gel pill, or did you get sick after digesting it?
