Ive had a little trouble being a first time mom trying to figure out the feeding process with my newborn. I recently switched over to formula. I'm feeding her 2 onces every 2 hours. Does that sound about right? She's 9 days old
2oz every 2 hours is perfect... A newborn should never go more than 2-2.5 hours between feedings
That seems a little much.
2 oz should hold her over for 3 hours because formula takes longer to digest.
Make sure she's actually hungry and not eating just to eat. If she's smacking her lips, moving her tongue around, go ahead and feed her.
My daughter is on formula and i feed her every 3-4 hours. Their tummies are so tiny. Obviously don't starve her. Just try other things to calm her down if she's crying before you stick a bottle in her mouth
