35 weeks pregnant...could it be Early labor?

I'm 35 weeks 2days today. I have been having pressure in my abdominal area for about a week now, but it has been so random that I figured that they were BH. I have an appointment tomorrow, but earlier today I had a BH that lasted 10 minutes. It was a constant pressure that would ease and strengthen, but not stop for the whole ten minutes.

I am having a pretty hard time breathing as well no matter what position I am in. I tried to relax and put my feet up, but kept blacking out. Then I tried getting up and walking around, I ended up cleaning my whole house in like 45 minutes. Then I took a hot shower to relieve some of the pressure that is now in my lower back and radiating down my legs and back up. My feet have swollen, but not my hands or face.

I am extremely tired and I keep having to change my panties because they keep getting wet, but they have a slight ammonia scent to them so I figured it wasn't my water. What is that supposed to feel like anyways? Any insight on what may be going on would really help. Thank you

I had my doctor's appointment today. She said that yes I am having contractions, but no I am not dilated which is a good thing. Had an U/S on the baby and he is definitely a boy and 6 lbs already. had the group b strep test and other cultures done. Ouchie!

Anyways thank you ladies for the advice when I was concerned.

I would contact L&D and see what they say.  They may want you to come and get checked out.

A real contraction wouldn't last 10 minutes so I'm not entirely sure what the constant pressure was unless baby's butt was just pushing really hard into your abdomen and causing pain. Just a guess!

Breathing problems and blacking out is definitely, definitely a cause for concern. How is baby moving? You may need to call your doctor tonight and speak with them about what's been going on today. They may need you to go get checked "just in case" especially as you're still preterm.

Not trying to freak you out. Just better to be safe than sorry!

P.S. The wet panties thing happened to me in the third trimester all my pregnancies. I had to wear pantyliners; it was just from so much pressure of baby on my bladder that I'd "leak" but as always, even with the ammonia smell, probably best to get it checked out.
