feeling concern

I'm 11 wks pregnant and my roommate smokes like a freight train! It's so hard to escape the second hand smoke. I know it's bad for anyone overall but definitely not fit for a pregnant woman!! Should I worry as much as I do about this issue??? I want a healthy baby N I would be very angry if my roommates smoking causes problems for me

I understand the frustration. I am a smoker but quit while I was pregnant and hated being around it. It's definitely okay to worry but unfortunately if she's your roommate there's not too much you can do but leave or look for your own place to stay. It *****, I know. But unfortunately it's not easy for one to quit smoking and it'll be almost everywhere you go /: I'm sorry your roommate does that. Goodluck!

My sister and her boyfriend also smoke around me and I'm staying with them in a one room studio apartment, I usually leave the room or go in the bathroom. Then come in and put the ac on. Sorry. I know how frustrating this is!

I would say get out when you can! It's not good for you or the baby's health. It also increases the risk of SIDS
