Must not be pregnant :(

I wrote the other day. I just came off my birthcontrol pills last month. I was late on my period by a few days. Well now I started my AF. This sucks!!!  My question is...Yesterday it was only pinkish to brown when I wiped, thats all. Now today I have totally started my flow. Should I consider yesterday or today the first day off my period? If Im going to chart these things I need to know exact days. After this Im going to have to figure out when I ovulate. MAN this is tuff stuff getting pregnant. LOL
Hopefully next month.

Thanks and Happy New Year

You would consider the spotting the first day of your cycle. Any bleeding from the vagina is considered a period by OBGYNs. Many womens' cycles start off with a little spotting, build up to their normal flow, then tapers back off. Some women only spot their entire periods or have light flows (like me) and some women just have heavy periods the entire time. Every single woman is different. But a doctor would consider the first speck of blood to be the start.

So yesterday would've been the first day of your cycle. Yesterday would have been Day 1 of period.

I never consider a day of spotting as my first day, always the day that the heavy flow comes.
