Thanks guys I'm kinda scared because i have lost two pregnancies so this is my third. I just hope i can hear a heartbeat I'm excited but trying not to get my hopes up.
The doctor will probably do some urine samples to make sure that you don't have a lot of protein or other things in your system. They might also draw some blood to test you for HIV, HepB, and some other diseases. They will also probably do a pap smear and pelvic exam to determine how far along you are and just to be sure that everything is going along smoothly. You might also be able to hear the baby's heartbeat if you are 8 weeks or further along. It may seem scary but it's all part of the process, and I found it very exciting.
Usually blood work and family history. Some drs. Do a vaginal exam too or wait until the second apt. And try to determine a due date
