At your first u/s you will see a small bean and hear the heart beat, which you will love to hear. They will draw you blood and get a urine sample and from there they will check your hcg levels. The Hcg level will double every 48-72 hrs. An Hcg level of less than 5 miu/ml is considered negative and anything above 25 miu/ml is considered positive.
My first u/s was a transvaginal one and it sucked. The tech wouldnt tell us anything and she wouldnt let us see anything so i didnt get to see or hear the heartbeat and i dudnt get to see my little bean. My first u/s was a bad experience but if the tech would have done her job instead of being a snob mine would have been good.
My next u/s is march 1st and im excited
:) so excited thank you. How often are hcgs checked?
At seven weeks you'll see a little shrimp lol. That's what the ultrasound technician said mine looked like, and he did. You'll see the heartbeat. I'm not sure about the hcg levels. Also, at seven weeks, you'll have to have a vaginal ultrasound.
